The Challenge
Emodart.com is the online gallery and store of visual artist Emily Gordon, selling contemporary multi-media sculptures and art pieces. The site was underperforming: slow hosting was hurting page speed, on-page SEO was missing, the WooCommerce store was disorganized, and the artist had no ability to manage her own site — every update required outside help.
The Strategy
We took a holistic approach: migrate hosting for performance, implement on-page SEO across the site, reorganize the WooCommerce store structure for better browsing, customize product page templates for art-specific presentation, and set up the site so the client could independently manage collections, add new art, and update content.
The Execution
Migrated the site to faster, more reliable hosting with zero downtime. Implemented on-page SEO — meta titles, descriptions, heading structure, image alt text, and schema markup across all pages. Reorganized the WooCommerce store with clearer collection categories and improved navigation. Built custom product page templates designed for showcasing art with proper imagery and descriptions. Trained the client on WordPress and WooCommerce so she could add new collections, manage products, and update pages independently.
